Recently, I’ve had time to explore opportunities with the Ministry of Education in the UAE. Working collaboratively, we have put forward ambitious proposals that will create a long-lasting impact in the region. Our plans are bold, but Dubai is a hub of bold plans and people – many of them work, study or lecture at LBS. Take for instance, a workshop I joined earlier this year for thought leaders in education with Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi; she presented her bold and inspiring vision for Dubai’s role in knowledge development.
“Taking time out to have children hasn’t hindered my career progress or goals. I was eased back into my role through flexible working and I received additional support for my childcare needs. Now my children are two and four years old, we go to the beach at weekends, visit parks and swimming pools – Dubai is great for young families.
“Similar to London Business School, my network is spread across the globe. I have parents in Orlando, siblings in New York and Miami, friends around the world from my MBA in China plus my husband’s family in Kuwait. Dubai is a global transport hub, so it’s easy for me to travel anywhere and for friends to visit me.”
