Predictive AI: The course covers predictive AI as a precursor to generative AI. It discusses two main paradigms: supervised learning, where algorithms learn from labelled data to classify objects or make predictions, and reinforcement learning, where algorithms learn through experimentation to maximise a cumulative reward.

Generative AI: This is a core focus of the course. It explains that the goal of generative AI is to generate new content, such as text, voice, code, pictures, or video. It specifically delves into how large language models (LLMs) work by predicting the next word or "token" in a sequence.

Agentic AI: The course introduces agentic AI as a more advanced form of AI that is designed to be autonomous and proactive. It explores how agents receive a goal and independently figure out how to achieve it, including planning steps, selecting tools, and executing actions.

Prompt Engineering: The course dedicates an entire section to prompt engineering, defining it as the foundational skill of giving generative AI good, clear instructions to get better outputs.
